Have you been wanting an easy, inexpensive means of keeping track of your birds?
Whether you have a small flock of non-breeding birds, are a small hobby breeder of one or many species, or even individuals with a large-scale operation, keeping detailed records on the birds you own is extremely important.
Individual records allow you quick and easy access to information about individual birds such as their band information, individual and family genetics, hatch date (how old they are), and specific individual notes on each bird such as health, breeding, or showing notes.
Breeding records allow you to keep detailed records on each clutch you produce and the success rate of your pairs. They also allow you to keep track of fertility, offspring vitality, and the offspring themselves. Using the breeding records to chart your offspring data (band information, hatch date, mutation notes, etc.) makes filling out Individual Records for them in the future a breeze!
And - if you sell the birds you breed, having Individual Records allows for easier transactions and something to give the new owner to take home with them.
I created the Gouldians Galore Breeder's Log Book exactly for the purposes outlined above. I wanted something inexpensive and practical that I could use myself to keep track of my birds, and it was so easy, I decided to produce it and make it available to others who may be looking for something similar.
This Gouldians Galore Breeder's Log Book can accommodate Individual Records for up to 50 birds. It also contains 50 Breeding Records to accommodate up to 50 clutches per season. The Breeding Section allows you to note the birds being bred, specific clutches for each pair, pair genetic information, nest and egg data, chick data, and special sections for breeding diet and notes.
Although my endeavor is only with Gouldians - the beauty of this Breeder's Log Book is that it can be utilized by anyone regardless of what type of birds are being bred.
